Hello and welcome to Helens Bakes!

I am a small business with big dreams. I started baking in the pandemic for family and friends, who then suggested I should turn it into a business. My background is in Marketing - fashion and beauty, and I love turning my creativity and imagination to decorating bespoke cakes and cupcakes.

I am self taught but had an introductory 5 day course on baking and decorating at Fair Cake in Greenwich, which gave me more skills; built my confidence and pushed me forward with a little business in cake. I love my job!

I use high quality ingredients as I want the cake to taste delicious as well as look beautiful, and every cake is created with love and passion. I particularly enjoy decorating edible flower cakes; fun children's cakes and more recently wedding cakes (even though a little scary). There is nothing more rewarding than putting a smile on someone's face.

I live in Twickenham - West London with my husband Simon (my chief sampler) and two cats Luna & Star. When I am not baking you can find me running or on the yoga mat.
